Beautiful, friendly and spacious.
Clear Lake is known for friendly people, sunny weather and beautiful sunsets—and of course its cool, clear water. As the third largest boating center in the United States, the Clear Lake area offers plenty of room to spread out. Plus with the option of enjoying the protected waters of the lake or venturing out into Galveston Bay, there are endless boating opportunities.
Members can go sailing, boating, jet skiing, water skiing, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, photographing, to just name a few. On dry land there are countless antique and souvenir shops as well as delicious seafood restaurants to explore. Afternoons can be spent visiting the Kemah Boardwalk for a ride on the Ferris wheel or simply relaxing under the nearest shade tree.
The nearby Houston Space Center is the home to several NASA Space Shuttles as well as a museum that is fun for all ages. Clear Lake is a destination of ample opportunity, Offering space on the water, as well as the option of exploring space itself.

Boating Requirements
Boaters younger than 18 years of age must complete a TPWD-approved course and be certified with TPWD to operate any vessel over 10 horsepower, wind-blown vessel over 14 feet and all personal watercraft.
